The D-40 model is built with the same types of wood as our D-20. However, the finish is more luxurious and the sound is tighter and has more focus. Where the D-20 sounds light, the D-40 also has the same liveliness but with more focus and a high register that has more body.
The traditional dreadnought shape is ideal for strumming and flatpicking playing styles. The large sound box has more power and much more bass than a smaller model and is appreciated by many people for this. The dreadnought can of course also be used in other styles, but its strength lies in the strumming playing style. Try the D-40 and be surprised by the lively, rich sound with lots of warmth.
