The M2 body is made of Indonesian mahogany, known for its warm, clear, full sound. The neck is made from Canadian hard maple for a premium look and feel.

Premium 3-band EQ preamp, newly developed for this series to meet the needs of Marcus Miller's versatility and cover different musical styles.

SIRE's unique preamp system is a perfect example that represents our technology and philosophy integrated into our instruments. With multiple tone controls, players have complete control to achieve the perfect tone they want. By using 18v batteries, the player can achieve unaltered natural sounds with strong and powerful outputs. With the 3-band EQ, players are able to perform versatility in sounds suitable for all music sessions and performances. All models are built with the option of both active and passive modes. Even in passive mode, the volume, tone and pickup balancer are fully functional, giving players greater control over the tone in each mode.

Round Fretboard Edges
What only custom shops can achieve is now possible on the Sire 2nd Gen. These rounded edges give users a firmer and more natural grip compared to other typical fretboards.

Highest quality hard and clear paint
The M2 is coated with the highest quality paint also used in the V7 and M7 series. This gives the M2 a more elegant look compared to other introductory basses applied with cheap paint.

BLUE HUMBUCKER SERIES
The core of an electric bass guitar are the magnetic pickups. They detect the vibrations of the strings amplified by speakers - just like a microphone works. Therefore, the quality and inclination of the pickups have a great influence on the tone and characteristics of the sound. The large pole-piece style Humbucker pickup sets have been redesigned to be a newly developed soap-bar style Humbucker pickup. This unique Humbucker style produces strong outputs with powerful and solid mids.
