The 2018 Ibanez JS2450 Joe Satriani in Muscle Car Purple is a fully loaded signature guitar for perhaps the most iconic guitarist of the instrumental genre - Joe Satriani. Over the past 3 decades, Joe has redefined what we thought was possible from 6-string and he has relentlessly toured, recorded and pushed the boundaries of music with his classic Ibanez JS guitars.
The JS2450 is the latest signature model and is used by Joe in his more recent work as a soloist and in his band, Chickenfoot. The JS2450 has been refined to deliver an effortless playing experience with tremendous tonal versatility. To achieve the effortless playing feel, the guitar features a deeply contoured body with a fully accessible neck joint, married to a medium-thin neck with a classical-guitar style 250mm radius.
The 24 medium frets are finished with the Ibanez Prestige Fret-Edge Treatment for a wonderfully smooth playing feel, while the JS2450's DiMarzio Satch Track and Mo' Joe humbuckers are capable of both power and nuance. The pickups are wired with clever circuitry that offers coil splitting and a high-pass filter for even more tonal versatility.
