The best clean tones

HT-1R MK II comes with two footswitchable sound characters (voices) in the clean channel. One with an 'American' character and the other with a Grade A 'British' character – both are 100% Blackstar.

• Voice 1 “American” – A clean, clear, tight tone with a strong bass response for a refined American timbre.
• Voice 2 “British” – A very catchy “chime” with a bit less depth for the British sound that can push you into a midrange overdrive when you push your guitar playing.

The best overdrives

The two footswitchable Overdrive Voices feature a high gain tone but avoid any form of top-end 'fizz' often found in other designs.

• Voice 1 “Classic” – This is the classic “British” Blackstar overdrive. The rich and natural sound goes all the way to Super Crunch but resolves very nicely.
• Voice 2 “High Gain” – Inspired by the acclaimed HT Venue MKII high gain sounds, this overdrive delivers extra aggression in the high end with a tight resonant low end.
