80/20 Bronze, commonly called brass, is the original acoustic string alloy created by John D'Addario Sr. in the 1930s. and John D'Angelico was selected. 80/20 Bronze strings are popular for recording because of their bright, deep and projecting tone and appeal to many traditionalists and vintage enthusiasts because of their historical significance. All D'Addario acoustic strings are wound on a hexagonal, carbon steel core, resulting in a long-lasting, clear-sounding tone with excellent intonation.
